A one-of-a-kind vintage textile embroidery created by artisans from Uzbekistan. Conceptualized and sewn individually at home to commemorate special events and holidays. This statement embroidery features bold patterns of flower bouquets. The repetitive patterns and stylized flower motifs are typical of these textiles. It includes Arab calligraphy and Iranian words. This is a charming example of an original Suzan wall-hanging tapestry from hoops.
Vintage Suzanis are from the Soviet Era dating from the 1970s. They are heavily influenced by the Russian occupation of Uzbekistan where they originate.
Buying one of these precious vintage pieces is like owning a piece of history. They are unique in their bold colors and shapes and show designer Rana Salam’s passion for her culture. Collected in and around the Middle East.
