Our plate collections feature gorgeous graphics designed by the artist Rana Salam, with stories of nostalgic pop art images from around the Middle East.
The Tahiya with Flowers plate collection illustrates a charming image of 1950s Egyptian actress and belly dancer Tahiya Kiryoka. Rana Salam adds her signature red Damascene Rose graphics to her hair, incorporating the Arabic-written graphics found on the original cover of the magazine. The words in Arabic ‘Ya Nassib!’ meaning ‘What Luck!’ are written in Arabic. The Vintage color palette from the original graphics adds nostalgia and charm.
Perfect for parties and events or everyday use. They also make beautiful wall hangings.
Part of the Tahiya Kariokka plate collection is sold individually or as part of a set of decorative plates.
DetailsThese custom plates have a small shallow depression, are sturdy and robust, but they do require a bit of care in order to keep them looking perfect. They are made from Bone China and are dishwasher safe, but we do recommend handling them with care.
